We encourage all members to consider running for one of the positions listed below. We need and welcome diverse perspectives, diverse skills, and more helping hands in moving forward.<\/p>\n Positions open for election:<\/p>\n The duties of each position can be found\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Motions to be voted at AGM<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We wish to create new positions<\/a> in our Executive Committee to improve our communications with all members, as well as our interaction with the Regional Offices. To this end, we will put to a vote two motions at the AGM to amend our by-laws and create: (i) a Communications Officer<\/a> position; and (ii) a Regional Office Shop Steward<\/a> in each of the regional offices. If the motions are approved, we will then proceed to request nominations from members for the new posts and hold an electronic vote in the weeks that follow the AGM.<\/p>\n Only members in good standing will be eligible to vote in the election of the six executive positions up for renewal. You are a member in good standing if you have completed a white membership card. If you have not done this yet, please contact a member of the Local\u2019s executive and they will give you a card to be completed and signed prior to the Assembly.
